The Tema Branch office of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority on 25thJune, 2018 donated 100 pieces each of bedsheets and pillow cases to the Tema General Hospital to enhance health service delivery.
Donating the items on behalf of the Authority, the Tema Branch Manager, Mrs Monica Josiah said the gesture forms part of the Authority’s effort to giving back to society
The Authority, she said, considers health as very critical to the growth of the nation hence its decision to donate the bedsheets and pillows to complement the efforts of other benefactors who have donated beds and mattresses to the Hospital
A Deputy Director of Nursing Service and the Head of Nursing of the Tema General Hospital, Mrs Janet Afua Antwi who received the donation on behalf of the Hospital expressed her gratitude to the Authority for the kind intervention.
She said the donation comes as a big relief to the Hospital because it spends a lot of money procuring items to provide quality health service to patients.
She assured the Authority the bedsheets and pillows would be distributed to the various wards for use.
