The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) and its CEO, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, have been celebrated for excellence at the prestigious “Africa Global Leadership and Changemakers Awards”, held on Wednesday, 26th November 2025 at the British Council in Accra.
The ceremony, which recognised individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and transformational impact across the African continent, honoured Prof. Ransford Gyampo with “The Order of the Golden Eagle – Golden Eagle Star Award in Leadership, Governance and Entrepreneurship.” Prof. Gyampo was recognised for his forceful and fearless contribution to public discourse, as well as his continuous advocacy for democratic consolidation, good governance and national development. Organisers, Imperial Leo Network Limited, praised Prof Gyampo for his commitment to elevating standards in leadership and civic engagement across Africa.
The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) received “The Order of the Golden Eagle – Golden Eagle Star Award for Impact in Shipping and Trade.” The award acknowledged the GSA’s relentless effort in promoting efficient trade facilitation, protecting the interests of shippers and shipping service providers, and thereby enhancing Ghana’s competitiveness in the global commercial shipping space.
Accepting the awards on behalf of Prof Gyampo and the GSA, the Head of Corporate Affairs of the Authority, Bernice Natue, expressed appreciation for the recognition, noting that it is an inspiration to the indefatigable team at GSA to lift the bar higher. She affirmed the team’s commitment to driving efficient, sustainable, and profitable international trade across all modes of transport for the national good.
The “Africa Global Leadership and Changemakers Awards” is a platform for spotlighting exemplary African leaders and institutions whose output drives positive socio-economic progress on the continent, and the Management and Staff of the GSA feel highly honored and encouraged for the great recognition.
