The Secretary-General of the Union of African Shippers’ Councils (UASC), Mr Ogoula Giscard Lilian has paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) Thursday 28th February, 2019 in Accra.

Mr Ogoula is in the country to attend the 23rd Ghana International Trade Fair where over 500 exhibitors from companies, small and medium scale enterprises and state agencies are participating.
He commended the Authority for supporting the UASC and its activities in providing shipping solutions to the needs of shippers in Ghana.
The UASC Secretary General said his visits to member councils afford him the opportunity to understand their needs and how the Union can position itself to provide them assistance.

The Deputy CEO of the Authority, Ms Sylvia Asana Dauda-Owu urged Mr Ogoula to continue his good works to lift the image of the Union high.
She said the Authority would continue to contribute to the activities of the Union and push for the interests of shippers.
The UASC is a 19-member body formed in 1977 and is headquartered in Douala, Cameroon. It is the umbrella body of Shippers’ Councils in the West and Central African sub-region with the aim of contributing to sub-regional economic integration policies, simplifying administrative formalities in international maritime traffic among others
