A broadcast journalist with Oman FM, Grace Nana Esi Boateng was adjudged the 2018 Best Maritime Reporter (electronic) at the just ended 24th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards which took place in Accra on 23rd November, 2019.
She was awarded for her contribution to the dissemination of information on maritime issues in the electronic media during the year under review.
Ms. Boateng won the same award last year at the 23rd GJA Awards, the first of its kind in the history of the awards.
Mr. Maclean Kwofi of Graphic Business was also awarded the Best Maritime Reporter in the print category.
The Best Journalist of the Year 2018 went to Ms Doreen Hammond, the Editor of Junior Graphic.
The ceremony, celebrated on the theme “Democracy, Freedom and Independence of the Media in Ghana.” climaxed the 70th anniversary celebrations of the GJA this year.
The GJA Awards “provides a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.”
