As part of plans for the year 2018 by the Ghana Shippers’ Authority to hold regular interactions with key stakeholders of the maritime sector, a meeting was organised for members of the Customs Brokers Association of Ghana (CUBAG). It was to deliberate on key issues affecting shippers.
The meeting which was held on Friday February 23, 2018 at the Tema Branch of the Authority touched on an evaluation of the Paperless Port; negotiation of charges/fees; activities of Goro boys (middle men) at the country’s borders; an upcoming port cost seminar; and other shipping related issues.
This meeting followed a previous one held by the Authority with members of Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF).
CUBAG was ably represented by its National Assistant Secretary, Mr Nicholas Osae; Tema Branch Vice President, Nii Dodoo Wristberg; and other executives of the Association.
