In a notable achievement for the shipping and logistics sector, the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) was adjudged the “Public Sector Company of the Year” and the “Trade Facilitation Company of the Year” at the 7th Ghana Business Awards, held on Saturday, 26th October 2024, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
These accolades, the second time in four (4) years, affirm GSA’s excellence in Service Delivery and Thought Leadership within the shipping and logistics sector, being the second time in four years that the organization has been recognized as such. We invite our cherished stakeholders to share in the joy these awards bestow, as we could not have achieved them without their effective collaboration in our effort to build a resilient and exemplary sector.
The awards which represent not just a recognition of past achievements; but also an invitation to push the boundaries to set higher benchmarks in the public sector, call for a more concerted effort, diligence and greater commitment to best practices in the global commercial shipping.
GSA is poised to meet this expectation on the back of the strengthening of its mandate by its new governing law, the GSA Act 2024.
To this end, we call on all stakeholders to put their hands to the plough, as we go on to raise the bar farther up to drive enhanced economic growth and regulatory excellence in the commercial shipping sector.
