The Acting Executive Director of the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), Ms Kosi Antwiwaa Yankey has paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) in Accra on 15th October, 2019.

The visit was to, among others, familiarise herself with the mandate and activities of the GSA and to also find possible areas of collaboration between the two state organisations for the benefit of the business community in Ghana.
She called for the need for all stakeholders to work together to address challenges small scale industries face with access to capital and market, packaging and transportation.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA), Ms Benonita Bismarck, assured her of the Authority’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with the NBSSI to protect and promote the interests of shippers in Ghana.
She stressed the importance of capacity building for exporters and the need for a one-stop-shop housing relevant state regulatory and inspectorate agencies to assist in facilitating the businesses of small-scale industries and shippers to save cost and time.
The NBSSI is the apex governmental body responsible for the promotion and development of the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) sector in Ghana. It operates in 10 regional secretariats and 174 Business Advisory Centres (BACs), in the metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies in Ghana.
