Members of the Northern Region Shippers’ Committee (NRSC) have been advised to pull talents and resources together to form partnerships and take advantage of the African Free Continental Trade Area (AfCFTA) to expand their business.
The advice was given at the 76th NRSC meeting held in Tamale at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Mr. Seidu Saaka Bakari the Regional Director for Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA).
He made a presentation on the topic, “Maximizing the opportunities for AfCFTA in the import and export sector” and challenged members to harness the opportunities and benefits imbedded in the AfCFTA agreement and enter into new market.
Mr. Abdul Karim Muhsin an Officer at the Ghana Shippers Authority Tamale Office on his part mention that the Northern region is noted for Non-Traditional Exports and Agrarian products and therefore entreated Members to leverage on the AfCFTA agreement and add value to their product to meet international standard for export.
