The 23rd Ghana International Trade Fair has opened in Accra with over 500 exhibitors from companies, small and medium scale enterprises and state agencies participating.

The trade fair will span a period of 12 days from 28th February to 11th March, 2019 at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre.
In a keynote address, the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Carlos Ahenkorah said government is committed to enhancing domestic trade by promoting made-in-Ghana goods at trade fairs and shows.
He said the implementation of the reviewed Export Promotion Strategy would double export volumes while the ‘One District, One Factory’ policy is setting Ghana on an industrial promotion drive.

Mr Ahenkora said these interventions would promote the consumption of Ghana-made goods locally and abroad.
The CEO of the Ghana Trade Fair Company Ltd, Dr Agnes Adu noted that the participation of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority at the trade fair would provide a good platform for the exhibitors to access shipping information and assistance for their businesses.
This year’s trade fair which is being marked under the theme “Made in Ghana, Globally accepted” has attracted exhibitors from West African countries, Germany, Turkey, USA and across the world.
